At around 11V or so car amps and other car stereo equipment may shut off so it’s important to have enough voltage available. You need a car amplifier because you want to use your amplifier at home. I don't understand "This amp seems to work only when it is connected to a real battery". Amp doesn't care where is the power coming from as long as it's 12V DC (10-14VDC).
Place the end of the 12 V+ wire in the matching port on the amplifier. Tighten the screw with a screwdriver so the wire doesn’t fall out when you lightly tug on it. Turn on the computer power supply to make sure the fan runs. Plug the power supply into the wall and turn the switch to the On position if there is one. Watch the fan on the power supply to see if it starts spinning.
